About two weeks ago I finally decided to sign up for a twitter account. So far, I must say I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I've met some interesting people and shared many a tweets. One person in particular, tw3ntyeight has really motivated me and my urge to get more involved in the tech community. His starting of the online Tweet-up, in an effort with jeffisageek, just might be the next great phenomenon. Well all right, that might be going a bit overboard but they are doing something quite interesting.

As Twitter-nation knows all to well, sometimes you just need to break out of the 140 character tweets and into something bigger. So what did these guys do exactly? They held the first ever TweetUp on TalkShoe -- a service which provides community calling for online groups, like Twitter.
