From a Mac to a PC, Mojave convinced Jerry Seinfeld

It appears the first documented case of someone actually switching from a Mac to a PC is none other than Jerry Seinfeld. If you watched Seinfeld at all, you know that Jerry was an avid Mac fanboi and Apple products were never far from his side. This switch-a-roo kills the thought of "once you Mac you never back". Funny thing is, Jerry Seinfeld apparently had the change of heart after participating in Microsoft's Mojave Experiment. The fact he was paid $10 million had absolutely nothing to with it.

Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is taking this news and putting it into play in a big way. Rumor has it that not only will he have Jerry Seinfeld try and take down the PC & Mac Apple ads, but Bill will actually join Jerry on screen to add even more flair. The ad campaign strategy is named "Build Windows, not walls" directly targeting Apple as a closed platform.

While both systems have their pros and cons, and while Microsoft has a legitimate argument about Apple being a closed platform, Linux enthusiasts are shouting from the rooftops that Microsoft isn't exactly open. When this campaign finally launches, all hell is going to break loose and the operating system war will be on like Donkey Kong.

I guess Microsoft figures if it can't match the competitions marketing strategy, it might as well bring Apple down with them. Or at least go broke trying. The coming months will definitely be interesting to watch. Stay tuned.

Im probably not legit

I bought a Mac going into my freshman year of college. Can't say I wanted to, but was told I was required to. So I did... then can say I gladly switched back to Windows after my sophomore year when I had the money to buy another laptop (since that Mac drained me of my life savings).. gave the Mac to my sister and can't say I will ever go back. Just didn't get what I expect for what I had to spend on it.. it was a horrible 2 years of my life.

Linux and Windows rock! (Silly Mac...)

As for these Ad campaigns I can't wait to check them out.

A new trend?

Looks like we have a second confirmed Windows to Mac user. What is going on?!?

I actually can't speak much to this as I've always been a Window/Linux user. Never been on a Mac for more than 5 minutes. Although it may be my next "investment". Not sure yet.

I'll never return

Surely an "investment" if they don't bring the prices down. I definitely do not plan on going back to mac and have stopped any of my friends from falling to them. Proudly all my friends are still on a Windows platform.

I've honestly never heard of

I've honestly never heard of someone switching from Mac to Windows. This is news to me.

I got my first Mac my sophomore year of college. I wanted a laptop and didn't need any particular one. My now wife had bought one for DAAP, and I liked it so I made the Windows to Mac switch. I can't imagine ever going back. I'm the only person in my IT classes using a Mac and the only non-Flash developer at Bridge Worldwide using a Mac as my primary computer. I've never had any issues as a developer not having access to tools that I need and I've found that its great for everything that I do.
