Due to a couple requests on Twitter and from family members who aren't local, I figured I'd post up a short video of Brayden's new room (our unborn baby boy). It took quite a bit of time and I must say, I think my mom and I outdid ourselves. I think it turned out great and would love to know what you think. So without further ado, here it is:
I really tried to resist this post, but for whatever reason my keyboard punchin' fingers just wouldn't let me do it, even though it may cause a little stir in my household. Honestly, I think it all stems from the fact that my wife is currently carrying our first child and she is downright goofy (I think I'm rubbing off on her). Take for instance the following:
One gloomy day, with the air crisp as a cracker...er, nevermind the coloful description. We were headed from Kentucky to North Carolina when we happened to pass by a large white structure that somewhat resembled a greenhouse and Sarah promptly asked what it was. Not having my book entitled "Point to anything and ask me what it is" in my back pocket, I decided to have a little fun.
Well, it's been awhile since I last posted and do I got a story to tell. Let me rephrase that, I have some "stories" to tell.
It all started on a dreary Monday morning. Actually, it was a rather nice day out, but I figured I'd add the dreary part in for effect. Oh, and it all actually started on a Sunday evening. Out of the blue, I started getting a stomach pain that was almost unbearable. On top of this, I felt achy, so I decided to take some NyQuil to help me sleep and hopefully get rid of the pain. Upon waking up, the pain had only increased. Thinking I just had a really bad stomach ache, I decided to take some Pepto Bismol and head on into work.
As you may have read in my previous blog entry, I'm in the process of rethinking my website and what I want it to provide. I've gotten into the habit of providing nothing more than static content in my previous renditions of corydorning |dot| com, which thanks to godaddy |dot| com, is now corydorning |dot| net (it's a long story). It was the usual about, portfolio, resume, and services information which was rather dry. But after pondering for awhile of what I could and wanted do to make this site more interactive and provide better information, I realized something.
Well, the migration to Drupal 6 (D6) is complete. I've decided to leave corydorning.net v1.5 behind and start from scratch. As some of you may have noticed, the "New site coming in January 2008" announcement date passed without a new site being deployed. I developed a new site design and was ready to start slicing and dicing it, when I decided I wanted to give Drupal 6 a look.
