Adaptive Path has partnered with Mozilla Labs to release part 1 of their new Aurora Project. It defines their vision of what the future web may look like and how interactivity will be at the forefront of new technologies. It provides some very nice real world examples and how easily accessible information "should" be. According to the report, they hope to be releasing several more video segments over the next couple of weeks.
Well, well, well...it turns out that Steve Jobs and his preachings about Apple being "above" their competitors, really is true. With the latest MobileMe debacle, I mean release, Apple has failed to do much of anything about the issues they are having. So I guess Steve is right. He is so far above his competitors that he doesn't have to satisfy paying customers, even when the service isn't WORKING.
Earlier today, at OSCON, David Recordon announced the creation of the Open Web Foundation. Ping.fm is a one stop shop to post to all of your social networking sites. From twitter, to facebook and myspace, it pretty much does it all. Let's just hope the ping.fm Drupal module doesn't fail me and I can not only manage my socnet's from ping.fm, but also corydorning.net!
As a member of the Cambrian House (CH)—although not an extremely active one—I've found it to be quite an intriguing idea/concept. Without going to into detail about it, CH members submit ideas to the community and the community fleshes it out and decides if they think it is viable. If it is CH does whatever possible to provide the project with funding to make it a reality.
